Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions a family makes. At Thinkers’ Valley we see admissions as the beginning of a meaningful partnership between home and school, built on shared aspirations and a commitment to every child’s growth and development.

Opening in April 2027, Thinkers’ Valley will offer a co-educational Cambridge pathway from Pre-Nursery through Grade 4, organically growing into further grades. Our approach combines academic rigour, purposeful inquiry and real-world learning, helping children develop the knowledge, skills and human capacities they need to thrive in a changing world.

The frequently asked questions below provide guidance on our curriculum, application process, entry requirements and learning support. Should you need further information, our Admissions Team will be pleased to guide you through the next steps.

We look forward to getting to know your family and exploring the possibilities ahead.

What is the admissions process at Thinkers’ Valley?

Our admissions process is designed to help families discover Thinkers’ Valley while allowing us to get to know each child as an individual. It includes five stages: enquiry, school visit, interview and assessment, admissions decision, and admission and onboarding. Throughout the process, we aim to understand your child’s strengths, interests, learning journey and readiness to engage with our approach to education.

How do I begin an application?

The first step is to register your interest with our Admissions team. We will share information about our educational philosophy, Cambridge curriculum, project-based learning approach, admissions requirements and applicable fees. You can then arrange a campus visit and receive guidance on completing your child’s application.

What documents will I need to provide?

Families will be asked to complete the application and enrolment forms and provide proof of age and identity. Depending on your child’s age and grade, we may also request previous school reports, academic records, details of their current or previous school, and relevant medical, developmental, learning-support or professional reports. Additional information may be required for safeguarding, health, transport or emergency purposes.

Will my child need to complete an assessment?

Our approach considers the whole child, looking beyond what a student already knows to understand how they approach learning, solve problems and engage with others.

For children entering Grade 1 and above, the admissions assessment includes the Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4). Depending on the child’s age and year group, we may also consider literacy and numeracy, English language proficiency, previous school reports and learning behaviours. For younger children, the process may include informal observation and play-based interaction rather than formal testing.

No single test or assessment determines an admissions decision.

Will my child need to attend an interview?

The interview process is tailored to your child’s age and stage of learning. For Early Years and younger Primary applicants, it primarily involves a family conversation with parents or guardians and members of the Academic Leadership Team and Founding Principal.

For older Primary applicants, the process will normally include both a student and family interview. These conversations help us understand your child’s educational journey, interests, relationships, aspirations and approach to learning.

How does Thinkers’ Valley determine the appropriate year group?

Grade level placement is normally based on a child’s age as at 31 March immediately preceding the relevant academic year, alongside their previous educational experience. Where a child transfers from another curriculum or education system, we also consider their academic development, language, social and emotional maturity, and developmental needs.

Any placement outside the normal age range will be considered only where permitted by applicable law and regulatory requirements. The Founding Principal makes the final decision.

How does the School support children with additional learning or developmental needs?

We are committed to building a diverse community in which every child can belong, participate and flourish. Where a child has additional learning, developmental, medical, accessibility or wellbeing needs, we consider the appropriate provision and reasonable adjustments that may be required.

We encourage families to share relevant information and professional reports so that we can develop an informed understanding of their child. Where additional provision or transition arrangements may be needed, these will be discussed with the family before a final admissions decision is made.

What happens if my child is offered a place?

Successful applicants receive a formal offer setting out the proposed grade, entry date and any conditions attached to the offer. Parents or legal guardians must accept the offer within the stated timeframe, complete the required enrolment documentation and make the applicable payments in accordance with the School’s Terms and Conditions.

Admission is confirmed once all stated conditions have been met. New families will then receive onboarding guidance and relevant information to support their child’s transition into school.

What happens if there are no places available in my child’s grade?

If a suitable applicant cannot be offered a place because the relevant grade is full, they may be placed on a waiting list. A waiting-list place does not guarantee admission. Offers will depend on year-group availability, the School’s published admissions priorities and the circumstances at the time.

Sibling status may be considered within these priorities, but having a sibling at Thinkers’ Valley does not guarantee admission. Each application is considered individually.

How are admissions fees and our family’s information handled?

Registration fees, admission or acceptance charges, deposits, tuition fees and other applicable charges are published separately and governed by the School’s Fee Policy, Terms and Conditions and relevant fee regulations. Our Admissions team can guide you through the applicable fees and payment arrangements.

Information shared during the admissions process is handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable Indian data-protection requirements and the School’s Privacy and Data Protection Policy. Information is accessed only for legitimate admissions, educational, safeguarding, administrative or legal purposes.
